2025-2026 Overview

The Farm School at Apricot Lane Farms (AFL) is a nature-based homeschool bridge program for children in grades 1-6. It is located at and integrated with Apricot Lane Farms, a 234-acre certified Organic & Biodynamic® farm in Moorpark, California. Starting in 2025-2026, OSA and The Farm School are teaming up to provide a special cohort experience for a limited number of 6th and 7th-graders.

  • Tuesdays/Thursdays: Through AFL, students will be on-site at Apricot Lane Farms every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00-4:00. Over 32* weeks, students will delve into earth science and biology through integrated lessons, hands-on exploration, and interdisciplinary projects. This component is paid for through AFL, and separate registration is required.
    • * The number of weeks at AFL will be at least 32 but may vary slightly, and will be organized with parents in advance. All holiday breaks will be aligned with OSA’s.
    • The cost for the AFL portion of the Cohort is TBD.
  • Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays: At OSA, students will be on-site every Monday/Wednesday from 9:00-4:00, and Fridays from 9:00-12:30. Over 32 weeks, students will receive comprehensive instruction in English and math, as well as social studies if they choose (Ancient Civilizations and Medieval Times). They will also be able to take additional core courses, electives, and/or study sessions (both guided and independent) in English and math. Electives may include, but are not limited to, fine arts, calligraphy, zoology, Fitness Club, martial arts, swimming, American history, Body Talk (comprehensive sexual education), and more.
    • The cost for the OSA portion of the Cohort is $10,500. 
    • Registration is payable over four sessions ($2,500 per session), with a deposit of $500 up front (which applies to the total registration). The cost includes priority registration each Session, all lab fees, and delicious lunches on Monday and Wednesday.
    • Not included: Extra expenses for our annual outdoor adventure, smaller field trips, the yearbook, or special events.
