Summer Session 2025

Summer Session, July 14-25

DETAILS: Classes meet daily for two weeks, 9:00-2:00. On one Friday, we may include a special outing dependent on the group, the weather, and the interest. (Walk to the beach or other field trip)

  • There is no independent work and nothing to bring to classes. All materials are provided; all work is done on-site and goes home on the last day.

COST: 

  • $600 for two weeks ($60/day), daily snack, and all materials included.

HOW TO ENROLL:

  • Current students (enrolled in Session 4 or Imaginession 2025): Registration forms are NOT needed. To sign up, email here no later than May 9th. The schedule will be finalized around current students who sign up. When you request to enroll, you can indicate “Enrichment only” or “Math, art, and science” or “all English and math support”, etc.
  • New students: Summer Session Registration forms are needed for all NEW students unless your child participated in Imaginession (that form will carry over to Summer Session). Summer Session Registration Form 2025
  • The sample schedule is below. We will finalize the order of activities once we have met our minimum participant requirement numbers (15), and will take the needs and interests of the students into consideration.

DESCRIPTIONS:

  • Math Skills: Flex your math muscles with skills practice, fun math games, and hands-on math learning at the 6th or 7th/8th level (with wiggle room for those needing extra support or working higher than 8th level), all in a low-stress environment. Specific activities and lessons will depend on the needs of the students who enroll. Instructor: Laura Erlig or Rachel Ameche: Max: 8 per time slot.
  • ELA Skills: Ease into English Language Arts skills with engaging daily practice. Whether at the 6/7th or 7/8th level, students will read, write, reflect, and discuss interesting topics in a low-stress environment. Specific activities and lessons will depend on the needs of the students who enroll. Instructor: Jenni Buchanan or Melanie Ware. Max: 8 per time slot.
  • Story Club (week 1): Everyone loves to hear and tell stories–whether we’re talking to our friends, telling stories around a campfire, or reading a good book! In this class, you’ll explore the world of short stories by listening to some of the masters, telling your own stories, and creating a picture book of your own! Come ready to read, write, play with prompts, listen, and share your creative genius!  Instructor: Jenni Buchanan: Max: 8
  • Money Madness (week 2): Who doesn’t love working with real money? With Venmo, Zelle, and other auto pay systems, it’s hard for kids to learn the basics. Students in this mini course may find themselves in a market, a restaurant, a bank, or something else, and learn how to spend their cash! They’ll learn about added tax, interest, making change, tipping, budgeting, credit vs debit cards, and more! Instructor: Rachel Ameche. Max: 8
  • Arts Enrichment: Enjoy a variety of projects that may include fine art, mandala stone art, wood burning, hammered nature art, secret book hideaways, self-portrait collages, painting, and more. Specific lessons will take into consideration student interests and students who may have enrolled last year. Instructor: TBA. Max: 8
  • Science Enrichment: Very cool stuff TBD, taking into consideration students who may have enrolled last year or participated in Mad Science during Imaginession. A variety of multi-day projects may include creating formulas, building paper roller coasters, making a pizza box solar oven, and more.
